2023 Lunch & Learn Schedule

VR 101 is a free course for new employment specialists or supervisors. Indiana Vocational Rehabilitation sponsors the course and offers it to employment specialists and their organizations at no cost.

You can complete VR 101 online at your own pace. Modules take about 2 hours to complete.

The course covers the basic skills and information that new employment service professionals need to know. You’ll learn about things like:

• The Employment Services Model

• VR Documentation and Processes

• The Role Employment Specialists Play in VR Cases

There are many kinds of abuse: physical, emotional, verbal, psychological, sexual, and financial/economic. People with intellectual/developmental disabilities (IDD) experience them all. However, it can be especially difficult for people with IDD to access domestic violence services. This is why it is important to learn about how to recognize and respond when someone with IDD discloses abuse.

• Common reasons why people with IDD do not report

• Services and how to report in Indiana
