In this training, you’ll learn how to integrate person-centered thinking, curiosity, and strength-based communication strategies into your daily communication with job seekers and family members. Meet the Trainer

Danyetta Najoli, M.A., Coach, Author and Social Innovator

Since 2000, Danyetta has worked in the disabilities community in a variety of roles including lead direct support professional, job coach and follow-along support, apartment coordinator, recreation and leisure coordinator, and as a senior community builder.She currently works as a learning & development associate.

Danyetta also operates a growth mindset and personal foundations practice where she provides training on essential interpersonal skills that ultimately make people better at their support jobs. Through her development of person-centered cultural humility training for the State of New York’s Department of Health in 2021, Danyetta created the 10 Commitments of Person Centered Cultural Humility. She hopes these commitments will inspire people to learn more about the other person including their culture(s), to provide customized support and build better communities where everyone belongs.

Monthly Lunch & Learn

Level Up Indiana is proud to announce Employment Specialists’ Lunch & Learn. The monthly virtual training sessions will be facilitated by Tatiana Perilla, MSW. Each month Ms. Perilla will provide information on specific mental health conditions, their impact on employment, and worksite support strategies. ASL and close captioning will be provided at each training.

The Intersection of Anxiety & Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities

It is not uncommon for individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities (IDD) to experience anxiety. In this lunch and learn session, information will be shared about the many types of anxiety such as generalized anxiety, social anxiety, and panic disorder. Attendees will hear about how anxiety and IDD can interact, real-life examples, and some ways they can support individuals with IDD who are affected by anxiety.
