Serving Deaf and Hard of Hearing Clients

The Division of Disability and Rehabilitative Services and the Bureau of Rehabilitation Services will host a webinar to provide updates on several initiatives aimed at system transformation, to better support individuals with disabilities in achieving their desired outcomes. DDRS will provide updates on several initiatives, including new performance incentive payment opportunities for VR employment service providers.

Who should attend: DDRS providers, including those who are currently providing, or interested in providing, services that support DDRS participants in pursuing and achieving employment.

When: July 31, 1-2 pm EST and August 2, 10:30-11:30 pm EST

It’s important to make your services as inclusive and accessible as possible. Level Up Indiana website has recorded webinars on serving individuals who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing (HoH). The training covers background on the Deaf community and culture, best practices for serving D/HoH individuals, and additional resources that may be available. The training offers first-hand insights from members of the Deaf community.
