We at Level Up Indiana now have 2 Supervisor Circles under our belt, and we are looking forward to the next one on December 16th!

Last month some wonderful providers joined us virtually and discussed employer engagement. The conversation lead to strong insights:

• Employers need updated education and trainings.

• The words we use count.  Instead of using words like “client”, supervisors suggest calling a person by their name.  Another provider reminded us that you’re marketing the job seeker, and not your organization. This has implications for our entire teams.

• How can we break down the stigma of individuals experiencing disabilities when working with employers?  We discussed successful strategies and lessons learned.
