About VR 101

VR 101 is a FREE, self-paced online course covering the basics of the Indiana Vocational Rehabilitation Employment Services Model and provides information for employment staff just starting their careers, or for staff looking to refresh their knowledge and skills. The course covers the Indiana VR-specific information that new employment service professionals need to know. You’ll learn about things like:

• The Indiana VR Employment Services Model

• The NEW Indiana VR documentation and processes

• The role employment specialists play in VR cases

Individuals who sign up for VR 101 also get access to other supports that help with training, like mentoring and Indiana VR-specific resources.

What is New About This Version of VR 101?

1. This version of VR101 has been updated to reflect the April 2025 Indiana Vocational Rehabilitation Manual of Employment Services updates, including the Employment Services documentation updates.

2. While previously available through the learning management system (LMS) called Paradiso, VR 101 is now available through Indiana VR Vendor YesLMS.

3. Additionally, VR 101 was previously divided into VR 101 Part 1 and VR 101 Part 2, but the recent updates included a merge of VR 101 Part 1 and Part 2 into a single course: VR 101.

The Peer Mentor Network is a great resource for Employment Services staff in need of extra support adjusting to the updated Employment Services documentation forms released in Spring 2025.

Register for the ACRE Foundations Training Course

Participants enrolled in the Foundational Training will complete six lessons across a twelve-week period. Each lesson will be available for two weeks, allowing flexibility for the time and pace at which material is reviewed.

This training is geared to employment specialists in their first or second year of working in the field. The content will provide foundational knowledge on Indiana-specific resources, opportunities, and information about the employment services model.

Registration is open for the following ACRE training cohorts:

August 11, 2025 – November 3, 2025 

September 29, 2025 - December 22, 2025

Supervisor Circle Meeting

Thursday, July 24th from 11am-12pm ET via Zoom
